Weedie Braimah is the Djembe percussionist that all famous artists are looking for. Christian Scott, Cecile Mclorin Salvant, Baaba Maal and countless other stars want to include the ancestral rhythms of Africa in their songs.
But Weedie has his own project. His name is Weedie Braimah and the hands of time and his first album has already been nominated for a Grammy Award. Glide magazine speaks of him as the driving force behind the Jazz of the future, a Jazz fused with a strong African flavour.
Weedie is unique, his drum paraphrasing and his solos that elevate him to an almost trance-like state make him an incredible, unrepeatable artist. The Hands of time¨ . his project has managed to attract the attention of all international Jazz professionals.
